Physic Education

After interviewing one of our teachers, we gained a new understanding of just how vital teachers are in addressing global health crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. They are much more than educators—they take on multiple roles to support students academically, emotionally, and mentally, particularly during such challenging times.

One thing that stood out to us was how focused our teacher was on student well-being. During the pandemic, regular check-ins on how students were feeling emotionally became just as important as academic lessons. This showed us the critical role teachers play in supporting mental health, helping students cope with anxiety and uncertainty. Our teacher’s dedication to ensuring students felt emotionally supported made a huge difference in keeping students grounded.

We were also impressed by their efforts to ensure that all students could continue learning, even in the face of economic challenges. Not all students had access to the internet or digital devices, but the teacher worked tirelessly to provide solutions. They set up community learning hubs and distributed printed learning materials, showing how teachers adapted to the situation to make sure no student was left behind. This really opened our eyes to the resourcefulness teachers need during a global crisis.

Another takeaway for us was how our teacher integrated health education into daily lessons. By discussing health safety protocols like wearing masks and social distancing, the teacher empowered students to be responsible and take part in public health efforts. It reminded us that teachers also play a vital role in spreading accurate information and keeping communities safe.

Overall, we realized that teachers are essential not only in academic instruction but in ensuring students' well-being and resilience during tough times. Their work extends beyond the classroom, as they help bridge educational gaps, provide emotional support, and promote health awareness. Teachers, like ours, are shaping the future by guiding students through the challenges of global health crises and building stronger, more informed communities.
